We will ship to this list of PayPal supported countries.
Also, in order to take advantage of PayPal’s buyer and seller protection we can only ship to the shipping address that PayPal sends us when you completed checkout.
This is really variable and depends on what you are ordering.
Prints usually ship within 4 to 5 working days – often sooner if we happen to have the specific print in stock. Please note however that the prints are usually made to order, so if you require delivery by a certain date then please contact us and we will see what is possible.
For limited-edition prints, if david is away we have to wait for him to return in order to sign each print.
Books are printed on demand by Blurb and usually take a couple of weeks. In fact, all books are ordered and fulfilled by Blurb.
The books that we currently have available are printed on demand by Blurb. It adds an unnecessary step in the process if we need to get Blurb to send the book to us before forwarding on to you.
Also, Blurb books are often printed by their affiliates in a number of countries. Chances are that there is a Blurb affiliate much closer to you so delivery should be quicker and shipping cheaper.
Prints over 16″ x 12″ will be sent rolled in a tube – smaller sizes will be in a stiff cardboard envelope.
For prints, we use Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK or Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed. There may be occasions where we need to use a different Royal Mail service depending on the availability for your country.
For books, refer to the Blurb website as fulfilment is handled directly by them.
It is in all of our interests that we ensure that you print arrives undamaged and in good order. In the unlikely event that your print arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible. For limited-edition prints, we will ask you to return the print to us and after inspection we will destroy the original and issue a replacement asap. For other prints, we will work out a sensible strategy for confirming the problem with you. In either event, you will not be charged postage when we send a replacement print.
For books, you need to contact Blurb. Please see the terms and conditions on the Blurb website. We have found that their customer support is quite good. They will replace books where there are manufacturing or shipping defects. Typically, they will ask you to photograph the problem and upon review of your photos they will issue a replacement. In our experience, the time for replacement is usually much faster than for the original order.
All limited-edition prints are blind embossed with david’s logo on the bottom border of the print (not on the image). Embossing creates a raised relief design in the paper without using ink. This is done by stamping the paper with a special embossing tool with a cast dye.
An example of blind embossing can be seen in the image below:
